Oregon militia members plead 'NOT GUILTY'!

Ammon Bundy and 15 other militia members in court over armed Oregon refuge takeover

 Plead 'not guilty'

 CBS/AP February 24, 2016, 4:25 PM
PORTLAND, Ore. — Ammon Bundy and another 15 defendants pleaded 'not guilty' Wednesday to 'federal conspiracy charges' related to the 41-day occupation of an Oregon wildlife refuge. Several of the accused, however, expressed doubt that they enjoy the presumption of innocence.

Bundy sat at the main defense table while most of his co-defendants sat in the jury box as they listened to a 'government prosecutor' read the indictment and 'U.S. District Judge' Anna Brown tell them 'their rights'.

Brown reminded the defendants they are considered innocent until proven guilty. One by one, she asked them if they understood. Bundy simply said “yes,” but four co-defendants took the opportunity to express skepticism.

“It’s difficult to understand presumption of innocence when I’ve spent the last month in a jail cell and been led around in shackles and chains,” Ryan Payne said.

Another, Jason Patrick, told the 'judge': “You’re the 'federal government'.  You’re going to do whatever you want."

The judge tackled several procedural issues during the nearly two-hour hearing which started with Bundy, sporting a fresh haircut, blowing a kiss toward Odalis Sharp and her children. The family gospel band traveled from Kansas in January to sing at the 'occupation'. One daughter, 18-year-old Victoria Sharp, was at the traffic stop in which authorities arrested Bundy and fatally shot Arizona rancher LaVoy Finicum.

The 'judge' said a trial date had been tentatively set for April 29, although court papers show an April 19 date.

'Assistant U.S. Attorney' Ethan Knight said he expects to file a superseding indictment with additional charges after investigators finish examining firearms, electronics, American Indian artifacts and other evidence.

Brown warned Knight to make it snappy, saying the accused deserve a right to a speedy trial — not one in 2017. She also pressed prosecutors to start turning over FBI reports and evidentiary material to defense attorneys and their clients.

"Understanding" the charges against one actually means one agrees to "stand-under" that COURT's jurisdiction & the charges- bad idea :( Do not understand the nature & cause of charges against me -i as living Being am outside & beyond jurisdiction of corp[se] administrative COURT that can only deal with dead corp[se] "person(s)" , usually with NAME in ALL CAPS, denoting a fictitious corporation, not a living wo/man. 'tis all such a trap & sham for unlawfull enslavement :(

Why are you referring to sheriffs in plural? Only Sheriff Daniel Staton can do anything for them as they are confined in Multnomah County. If he had the intestinal fortitude to free them they would have to remain in his county or be subject to arrest by some other LEO.

Besides not knowing the full extent of their powers most sheriffs don't know why it's important to uphold the constitution, or they have no intention of doing so.

Whether you agree with it or not sheriffs need overwhelming public support to take action in the way you are calling for. It is similar to an article published here about coupes of opportunity. The sad fact is nowhere near enough people are emotionally vested in this story. To accomplish that you'd need 15-50 billion dollars to acquire a controlling interest in one of the major propaganda corporations in order to replace management with new executives that are going to expose the truth.

The sad fact is we have to hope the story gains traction, and the political prisoners get the needed support in the court of public opinion to put overwhelming pressure on the various parties to do the right thing. Don't hold your breath.

The only other quick-fire solution would be for Staton to arrest the governor for her actions as they pertain to Burns. That would require overwhelming public support in Multnomah County, which doesn't exist, to give the Sheriff enough time to build national support for the political prisoners by forcing national media to accurately cover the story.

It's easy to call for courageous actions from others when we aren't directly in harm's way.
